How to add Chatloom to Shopify
About five minutes. You'll need to be able to edit your site's settings.

Sign up for Chatloom, paste your website address, and copy your one-line chat code from Install.

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

Next to your current theme, click the ⋯ button, then Edit code.

Open layout/theme.liquid, paste the code just above </body>, and click Save.

How do I add it to Shopify?
Paste one line of code into your theme's theme.liquid file, just above </body>. The steps above show exactly where. No Shopify app is needed.
Does it know my products?
Chatloom reads your store's pages, including product pages, collections and policies, when you paste your store address. Refresh them in Chatloom when your products change.
Will it slow down my Shopify site?
No. The chat is a small script (about 13 KB) that loads after the rest of your page, so your pages appear just as fast.
Do I need a developer?
No. You copy one line of code from Chatloom and paste it into Shopify following the steps above. It takes a few minutes, and you can email the code to whoever looks after your site instead.
